Two one-semester courses (students must independently register for each semester)

Course Description:

This course will study, model and apply linear, quadratic, logarithmic, exponential and trigonometric functions along with probability and sequences/series. The course is an extension of the graphical, numerical and symbolic aspects of Algebra 1 along with the geometric relationship studied in Geometry. The graphing technology  is used throughout the course. This course also covers the foundations of trigonometry. This is a recommended course for students planning on attending a four-year college.

Algebra I, Geometry

Required Materials:

It is recommended that students have a 3 ring binder and hole punch to keep track of notes and completed assignments.  A comprehensive semester exam is given each semester and students are allowed to use notes to complete these.  A scientific calculator will be very helpful.  Graphing assignments can be completed using online graphing tools so a graphing calculator is a tool of personal preference.

This specific course requires that students need a means to send digital copies of work to the instructor.  The instructor accepts via scan or photo via scanning or taking a photo of work and then emailing it to themselves, followed by uploading the file to the proper assignment dropbox.
