Course Length:

Two one-semester courses (students must independently register for each semester)

Course Description:

This course will continue to use language skills learned in French I and II to focus on reading, conversation, and writing skills. Advanced grammar is taught on a regular basis. The student will continue to improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through activities that are based on pedagogically proven methods of foreign language instruction such as reading a short novel and short stories. Grammar is introduced and practiced in innovative and interesting ways with a variety of learning styles in mind. Exposure to the culture of France and French-speaking countries can be found throughout the course in order to help students understand French in its context, as a truly dynamic language used for communication by millions of people throughout the world.

All world language courses require the ability to record oral language using the computer.  A headset and microphone are required.

Course Availability (subject to resource and teacher availability):

Fall: A semester available
Spring: B semester available
Summer: Not available
Course is not available to join at semester without permission from MTDA Curriculum Director and Instructor. Students must pass the A semester to qualify for enrollment in the B semester.
